curtain rails and curtains

Post by redz79 » Sat Apr 11, 2015 7:50 pm

hi all
its time to make our bongo a little more comfortable, we don't have the bongo curtain rails , the tailgate looks easy enough to fit a rail to but we'd like the front curtain rail to runs around the windscreen and over the side windows, so some kind of flexi rail would be needed, any recommendations ? , were would we mount the fixings ?

Best search for a set of original Japanese curtain rails, they can be found. I had them on my Bongo, the front one was a full wrap round cab rail. Some Bongo owners have fashioned their own curtain rails but the Japanese ones are far superior and less bulky. The Japanese ones come with their own mountings and only need to be clipped in place using original fittings which makes them easily removable. For a start try one of the breakers such as http://www.bongospares.co.uk/.

I've used Ikea curtain rail both front and back, seem to think there's a fact sheet for it somewhere.

thanks for the info pete
we took a trip to ikea today in Nottingham, we bought some kvartal curtain rails and some preformed round corners and some eyelets for the track as per the fact sheet, now we have to make the fitting brackets, looks simple enough ,all the sections are cut ready to fit
cost for the front window £19
cost for the rear window £14
now we have to find some curtains.
