I was thinking of moving my AFT fuse 12 to run from the leisure battery.
It has a 30amp fuse rating, but does anyone know what it actually draws during up/down?
Was thinking that while running on electric hookup then I wouldn't need to start up the engine to do the roof.
The feed from battery is 2.5mm cable so it should be fine for the 30 amps,
but wondering if this would trip the electric hookup at camp sites?

Re: Current draw from AFT open/close
I would suspect that it would be better to leave it on the starter battery. The power from a battery charger is nowhere near as much as from the alternator. Also, why would you need to raise and lower the roof whilst parked up on EHU

Leave it on the Starter battery and always run the engine when raising at least, it has one of the longest cable runs in the van and it needs all the volts it can get! No EHU is going to be able to supply the 20+Amp it draws when running let alone the start up current.
