Lights!!! 2.0

Post by Davidjamesinc » Tue Nov 11, 2014 5:10 pm

Hi guys, looking for some tips. Just gone out to the Bongo 2.0 2002 and the only lights I've got are the front headlights. No rear or side and no dash/equipment lights. Something clicks when I turn them on but no illumination. Please help :?

Possibly dirty contacts in the switch? A spray switch cleaner may do it.

Hope you find this soon.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

I had this problem in my 1996 Bongo and it turned out to be one of the relays inside the passenger side front wing. This has come up before, and this thread should help: http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/view ... relay+wing

Can we assume that you have checked all the fuses ?

Its the relay under the bonnet passenger side - to check it out for sure, swap them over you'll have two exactly the same. Top tip is to buy the generic Japanese relay for a couple of quid and avoid genuine Bongo ones that are either old or expensive or both.

If you can be bothered, you can cut the top bracket off (with the hole in it) and then they slide straight into the original relay and fit on as original and look original.

Had two in for months now, work like a charm.
