Hi
I bought my Bongo a few months ago and I'm very happy with it but the one thing I need to sort out is the spare wheel-it's unusable. I have 2 questions:
1) Should I replace it with another space saver or should I just get a spare regular wheel? Will a regular wheel fit under the vehicle like the space saver?
2) Are there any reputable vendors you would recommend I buy the wheel from? I live in Stockport.
Thanks

Regular spare wheel fits fine, keep an eye on the for sale/wanted section on here, people who've bought alloys often give them away or sell cheaply

Welcome aboard.
Good advice above, plus Wheelquick, in Wigan, fit alloys to the Bongos they sell so likely a good bet for a used one.
They will also ensure the tyre is suiatble.

I went up my local breakers yard and basically swapped my useless space saver for a perfect fit wheel with a virtually new tyre on it, had to look a bit but worth it. If not try george at bongospares. 07836 598528.

Re: Space saver or regular wheel?
If you have a 4WD make sure any full size tyre has the same size tyre / rolling circumference so as not to cause problems with the viscous coupling. Brand new tyres are available to fit spacesaver rims as the original Japanese rubber will be well past it best by now and should not be used. Recommended life of a tyre is 6 - 10 regardless of whether it has been used or not.
