Interior thermostat

Post by Mark.T » Thu Sep 25, 2014 2:23 pm

From purchase I was having an issue with the cabin heater not providing warm air until I turned it right up. Having searched around these forums, I discovered that the problem be a dirty interior thermostat.

.. well, could have been ..

Well done, you can now give it a wee suck every now and again when you are vacuuming the carpets.

OR .. for routine cleaning blow the dust (and dog hairs) out using some aerosol compressed air (as used for cleaning computers) ..

That would be OK, but you'd be blowing the dust etc into the back of the housing. I doubt that would be too problematic though in realty .. unless you manged to the Bongo on the road for half a decade or something, in which case the housing would fill up with dust and stuff :)
