Wiring Diagram Component Numbers

Hi All,

I'm a newbie, so my apologies if this information is out there somewhere. I've searched but not found what I need to know, which is what are the electrical components on the starter & alternator page of the wiring manual? I'm trying to understand the wiring for the starter (which I think is A1-01) but I'm not sure if A1-04 is the solenoid switch for it.

Any help gratefully received.

assuming you have a 95 2.5 diesel model then A1-01 is the starter motor (with combined solenoid) & A1-04 is the starter relay.

Thanks, I came to the conclusion that A1-04 is the starter solenoid and A1-01 is the starter motor. The more I read the wiring diagrams, the more I'm getting to understand them.

Apologies for the first post not saying what the van is, it's a 96 2.5 diesel auto.
