water filler cap key

hi,
Had bongo for few weeks and just realised There is no key for water tank cap :cry: ,Its a wellhouse side conversion 6 years old,I wil ltry previous owner first but failing that would it be difficult to remedy?

Thing is can you get the cap off without the key?

All the key does is lock the the outer rim to the bit in the neck so that it turns the whole assembly and lets you remove it.

But they are rubbish, the caps often just lock up and can be undone without needing the key at all.

Or check for a key number on the barrell and have one cut at a key cutters ..

:lol: :lol: :lol: Reminds me of my Citroen fuel filler cap - having unlocked it I couldn't unscrew it - it never occurred to me that I just needed to pull it out :oops: :lol:
