speedo fascia help........

Post by ant n jodie » Sun Jul 06, 2014 9:39 pm

Hi,

Thanks in advance for any help and advice

We have had our Bongo for around a year now, and have just finally got around to getting new tyres fitted onto our 17" alloys on it so is now rolling at pretty much the correct size which it should! (had huge tyres on before!)

The speedo has always been out but put this down to the silly size tyre the previous owner had put on it and just always used our sat nav and hoped it would be cued with the new ones......... but its got worse! Its around 30mph out now!!!

I have had a rummage though the bits that came with the van, i have found a box from visual performance which the dial kit has come in, it states on the box its a 0-110mph dial, but the fascia in the van says 0 - 140! I have measured the milage trip and the km/miles conversion is correct so can only assume the wrong fascia is on it! I'm so confused!!!
is there anywhere i can get a fascia kit that will work with the coloured dials? Has anyone had issues with visual performance kits before?

Also, Can anyone advise me what the clock should actually read on a Auto 2.5 diesel Bongo (1995)

Sorry so many questions.

Thanks

Jodie

Mine (same year, same model) reads up to 110.

Tested mine earlier today with Sat Nav, and mine reads about 2mph low across the board. i.e. indicated 30 is actually 32mph. Indicated 70 is actually 72 mph. So pretty close, but something to be careful about when at the limit.

Excellent, thanks for the reply. At least i now know which speedo face it should have, looks like its as simple as just the wrong fascia!

thanks again for your help
