Re: fridge
Hi
If it's actually FITTED, it will need airflow behind it to work properly .

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
Re: fridge
The question wasn't about airflow it was about whether the flue needed to be fitted for use with gas. I would guess that as it has the facility to be used with a gas supply the flue will need to be fitted otherwise there is a risk that someone will connect gas to it and use it without a flue.

Re: fridge
Hi Poohbear
The question was not about flues, as it stated WITHOUT gas , and if it is fitted into a unit, it will need AIRFLOW over the rear to cool , so , yes, it WILL need a vent in the worktop for the cooling air to rise, or one in the outside normally provided by the fitments doubling for both a flue , AND a vent for hot air to escape. This is the reason for domestic refrigerators to have standoffs on the back....so that people don't push them right against the wall, disallowing airflow. People don't read instructions nowadays, and without the standoffs, the fridge will be pushed too far into a closed space....
The answer to this is READ WHAT'S WRITTEN, and it won't occur
In yesteryear, it never happened....people read what was written in the handbook
Cheers
