Post by BongoBongo123 » Fri Jun 13, 2014 3:24 pm

Tend to boil my head a bit and get uncomfortable anyone have ideas on a good shade or awning.
Just want something simple with goo amount of sun block/shade. nothing fancy or a full awning /tent required.
They call me light foot.

Made this from a Quechua Tarp adapted to fit to the Bongo using a figure of eight attachment.

Both of those look like exactly what I need. The fig of 8 bits seems easy to get and a decent appropriate size tarp but what about those support posts.

The posts/poles and lines all came with the Quechua Tarp, and it looks like it is on offer at the moment.

I then machine stitched on some awning piping (not too sure if that is what it's proper name is).

This then attaches to the figure of eight that in turn clips onto the Bongo guttering.

Nice one, I am going to give that a go if this convenient solution is not good enough:

Rob McAlister Fishing Umbrella (on amazon) link does not seem to work. Umbrella with side zip on shade.

I just need something so I don't boil me bonce that will not be too much faff. If it is no good your solution looks great. cheers
