Please can someone tell why this light occasionally comes on?
I thought that was the point of an LB - "deep cycle"?Simon Jones wrote:If your LB is getting completely discharged, then it's going to be knackered by now
Modern LBs aren't deep cycle, they're more like heavy duty starter batteries and even have a cranking amps reading. A true deep cycle battery is very unlikely to be able to start a Bongo, as it's meant to release it's power slowly.Driver+Passengers wrote:I thought that was the point of an LB - "deep cycle"?Simon Jones wrote:If your LB is getting completely discharged, then it's going to be knackered by now
I admit, I haven't looked into it though need to as I want to change the setup I've got - but again, I thought that was the point, split charge relay, isolating circuits, etc... high cranking starter battery on the driver's side, deep-cycle slow-release leisure battery on the passenger's side - ie it's "ok" to run the LB down when parked up, but you'll only and always turn the engine over with the starter battery. I thought LB and deep-cycle were synonymous. (Waaaay off topic though, sorry).francophile1947 wrote:Modern LBs aren't deep cycle, they're more like heavy duty starter batteries and even have a cranking amps reading.
