How do you remove the rear speaker covers ?

Post by Sparticus » Wed May 14, 2014 4:51 pm

I've bought a USB socket and want to mount it near the speaker by the sliding door. I thought I would pop off the speaker cover to get access to run the wires back to the lighter socket.

I got trusty blade behind the cover and levered, but it would not come off; any more force and I would have probably broken it. Am I missing a trick here?

Yep, its plastic welded to the panel. However, you can remove the grey plastic trim pocket (single screw) & then reach up inside the panel to get to the rear of the 12v socket.

Thanks, so I'll leave the speaker and work from the pocket area.
- It will have to be mirrors and torches, to check it's clear before drilling.
