Bongo Fury

Hi all,

I have recently acquired a bongo and am thoroughly enjoying it, however I found it very cold to sleep in. When connected to a hookup I cannot run the heater without starting the engine. Can anyone recommend a good solution for heating the bongo when connected to mains electricity?

Welcome to the forum . There's lots of info on here regarding various options for heating while plugged in on hook up, bearing in mind you should avoid plugging in a stonking great fan heater as you might end up tripping the site electrics out.

Two popular options:

- Oil filled radiator which will give slow steady heat and could be left on overnight. http://www.rapidmarketingroute.com/warm ... warm/SOFR5

- Quartz / halogen heater which typically has two settings (400/800W) which gives a nice instant heat and is much lighter to carry. http://www.towsure.com/product/Electric_Quartz_Heater

Ill second Simons recommendation for the mini oil filled radiator.Ive had one 4 yrs,very toasty thru the night,no noise as with clicking thermostats on fan heaters either.

That sounds odd? Once the hook up is plugged in the 240v mains sockets should work, the engine should have no effect on it?

Mine have always been expensive, hard work and noisy. Present one excepted of course.
