Awning connector (figure of 8)

Post by ICBongo » Thu Apr 10, 2014 11:04 am

Hi,

I have recently purchased an Outdoor Revolution Movelite Cayman drive away awning and I was wondering how well people get on with the figure of 8 connection strips?

Is the figure of 8 suitable for the bongo gutter, and, is it best to buy one long strip? The ones on ebay seem to be 1m in length, but surely it's best to have one continuous length to prevent leaks?

Hoping someone can help.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same awning and the figure of 8 is ideal , I have 2 pieces and it does leak between the 2 pieces so the longer the better I would imagine !

Fits over the gutter nicely but I've only ever seen the 1m lengths? would also suspect that the longer the length of the figure of 8 then the harder it will be to feed the piping through them, the fact that the lengths are seperate allows some flexibility in feeding it through.

We stock them as 3 x 30 inch lengths. Any longer and the postage costs get very high.

Brilliant!

Thanks for all the replies. Looking to head out over Easter - that's if the weather is kind - someone said it was going to snow!
