Just a quick project :
Cost less than £3 each from China via eBay ...inc postage! Checked the voltage via a voltmeter and they are accurate.
Dremelled the holes to fit, removed the centre console to do this. Wired direct to each battery via a fuse and the double switch down by my left knee. Now we know exactly what voltage the battery's are via a quick glance, they can be turned off when not required.
A cheap, easy thing to do ....took about 2 hrs to do all in.

Darn it ..you got me there Simon!
Yeah, cut the original hole on the bottom right but when I tried to re-fit it, it was touching the metal plate behind so wouldn't fit flush. Fussy bugger, hence the SOS for a new panel.....

Probably missing something here?
Whilst I think this is a great idea and fancy trying it out, doesn't the position mean that its difficult to move the central console when carrying out maintenance, etc?

No Dave!
The LCD's take very little room, the wiring has two quick release connectors so you lift the console as usual, unclip the connections and remove... Simples!!!!

I've got one of these tool although I find that the voltage reading sample interval is far too frequent (meaning it's flickering between fractions of a v all the time). Also slightly dubious temperature reading, but maybe thus is due to where I located the sensor. Still like it though. Just wish it could be a green backlight rather than the choice of blue or orange!
