How easy is this to do? I already have a powered AM/FM aerial on the passenger side of the windscreen, which was done by JAL. How much of the dash will I have to remove to run the wiring from a DAB aerial to the back of a new head unit? Is this an easy DIY job for an amateur?
Also, if my headunit is wired to the leisure battery, what is involved in having it automatically come on and go off with the starter battery (but not requiring the key in the ignition to have the radio running, ie when parked up)? Is that even possible?
Thanks!

Re: Wiring and placement of a DAB aerial?
Hi,
I fitted a dab aerial in january when I got my Pioneer double din unit. I took the power from the harness (pc2-10-4) connecting the original wiring to the iso fitting on the unit. ( cut, soldered bullet connectors, then heat shrinkwrapped) The only trim to remove is the near side passenger grab handle which allows the trim to pop off. plenty room to get the wire up and into position. work out your aerial placing half way up the screen allowing for the refitted trim.
Dab is great with all those extra stations!

Re: Wiring and placement of a DAB aerial?
very easy to fit a dab aerial. like stated above just remove side rail and fit the wires. might need to remove the glove box to run the wire over but quite easy.
then just get listening to all the great rock stations
cheers luke
