Clutch slave cylinder leaking

Post by Bongoers » Thu Sep 07, 2006 4:20 pm

The clutch slave cylinder on our manual SGL5 seems to be leaking. It is sometimes difficult to engage 1st gear. Anyone got any ideas for sourcing a replacement or repair kit?
Does the Bongo share the same clutch parts as P2500 & Ford Ranger?

Would be grateful for any help.
Thanks: Geoff & Diane

Ooh tough one. You will need to ask a dealer that question but gather that they aren't particularly helpful with imports. What we really need is an EPC for the Bongo. I've tried to source one but the only outlet I've found is in Russia and they will only sell to the home market. Maybe Bongo Bits could help?

I thought I'd e-mailed you about it Ian? EPC - Electronic Parts Catalogue. It's what the dealers use for identifying and pricing parts. I've tried to get one but the only source I've found is a Russian website and when asked they said they will only sell to the home market. These things usually get on to the open market via Russia then onto the likes of e-bay. Especially useful for imports as you can quote the part numbers to the dealer - really pi$$es them off. More importantly, you can cross reference parts to other vehicles. So if you know anyone with Russian connections ............
