So, eight weeks later and I get my Bongo back from the garage. It required a new ECU and timing piston sensor. I'm now getting problems with the EGR valve. I have bought the blanking plates and fitted them - but it's still registering as an issue on the ECU. Mine is a 1999 (flyby wire), so does anyone know if any EGR valve will do, or is it best to clean it - or can it be removed altogether? Many thanks for your help! £1,500 lighter, but slowly getting it running! It'll teach me never to buy from dodge Bristol importers again!
On a positive note, I can't praise Lac from LA Cars in Braintree enough! I highly recommend him. He's gone above and beyond to help me sort out my Bongo.

Re: 1999 EGR Valve issue
I didn't get any issues when I blanked the EGR off on our drive by wire but there are so many small pipes, valves etc associated with it that I suggest you make sure they are all still in good condition otherwise the ECU could well throw a wobbler even though the EGR is blanked.
Re: 1999 EGR Valve issue
Many thanks briwy. I'll have a look at it all at the weekend.
If I can take it off to flush it out and give it a good clean, then that can't hurt.
Do you/anyone know if WD40 will do the job in cleaning it out?
Cheers
