Fitting Erisin drop down TV in roof

Post by ginger colin » Sat Feb 08, 2014 4:52 pm

Hi, im popping in a 10 inch drop down tv in a flat top roof near the lining join seam. routing wiring fwd (Left or right ????)to tv tuner under dash and eventually to leisure battery.

I need to part drop at the seam to fit an aerial at the front and rear under the roof lining. then slip a plate behing to hold the tv up. I think dropping both halves 4 inches at the seam should be enough. Can anyone give me a brief step by step as I dont want to damage any of it....

i.e. remove grip handles. Remove front seat belt covers/mounts,prise front door pillar section away from bottom... etc....

Im routing the leisure supply through the clutch hole and to the front right cab fuses but im not sure where its best to tap in the TV and tuner, I dont think it will need no more than 10amp fuse. If I fit the tuner in to the leisure circuit it will be permanantly on so im considering paralelling the tuner and TV off of a spare fog light switch so I can turn it off when the kids a fall asleep (or start world war 3).Do you know the rating on fogs I cant remember what fuse it is....

(Im not upgrading the speakers yet as the tv has wireless headphones and you can broadcast with it to a your FM radio. Also plays games, Div X flims etc...)
