Foglight switch query

Post by Jabba's Wheels » Sun Feb 02, 2014 5:05 pm

I've found some great instructions on the site on how to remove the dashboard and replace various bulbs. =D>
I've managed to complete everything and put it all back :) (despite not having hands like those of a 10 year old). Biggest struggle was removing the large plastic fascia held on by 4 screws. On the rhs of the steering wheel (next to the coin holder thingy) I've got a blank where the foglight switch would go - behind this are attached wires. I can't manage to disconnect the white plastic wiring connector from the black front part - meaning that I couldn't properly remove the fascia and had to leave it dangling on stretched wires. :(

Anyone know what the secret is (apart from snipping the wires)? Would be useful to know for next time. [-o<

Thanks for that. :)

On mine the switch 66-600A is blanked off. I can squeeze the back of it and get it out of the fascia panel, but then I can't unclip the white cable connector out of the back. Obviously won't go through the hole. Must have some sneaky clip somewhere. :shock:

Perhaps a little more brute force next time.

There is a little barbed tab on the broad side you can see it in the picture below;

It needs to be pressed in to release it.
