Ignition barrel replacement question

Post by Darkstar » Wed Jan 29, 2014 11:35 pm

Hi all,

Just a quicky, i think i need a replacement ingition barrel/switch, have to wiggle the key to get starter to turn. I notice on evilbay that the few on sale state "non air bag", is there actually a difference between the airbagged and non airbagged barrels/switch ?

many thanks in advance.

Wouldn't have thought so although someone mentioned last week that the indicator/light switches might be different. Have you checked that you haven't got a dodgy connection or that the switch has worked loose on the end of the barrel?

Hi Simon,

No have'nt checked yet, this issue only really occured last winter and this, was not really sure which way to go as there is a bit of play on the key.
Thought is was starter contacts last year so they got replaced, but will check the switch on the end of the barrel at the weekend.

cheers
