I want to fit a fiamma pro bike rack to my bongo that has a spoiler.
Is this possible?Do i need adaptors or some other newfangled device?
Should i even attempt this myself?

I use a Bak Rak fitted with Thule bike carriers ( the ones usually used on roof bars). Works really well as long as you have a towbar.

I have a Paddy Hopkirk bike rack which I have used on Space cruisers and my renault espace, I have just found out it fits perfectly with the bongo and I have the rear spoiler and it allows the tailgate to be opened, it holds three bikes and is very easy to fit and remove, I know it wasn't expensive and I have seen a couple at car boot sales. If I see any more you may see them suddenly appear on evil bay., So.. if you see one grab it. Happy motoring.

Just been clearing out my garage. Found a bike rack that consists of a cast aluminium plate that sits between a two-bolt towball and the towbar. Two steel square section tubes slot in with brackets to hand one or two bikes one to. Longer towball bolts included.

It is a 'Carrycycle' made in Salford(!) They don't seem to have a website anymore, so I guess they are out of business now

Used it years ago with a trailer tent & two bikes.

Once you have fiited the plate it takes literally 10 seconds to fit or remove.

Would fit a bongo, but you would have to remove the bikes and tubes to open the rear door, of course.

Free to good home, collect or pay the postsage.
