You carnt bump start it then
You can get repair kits for the starter motor
Is your battery charged does it read more than 12 volts when tested

Make sure the battery is fully charged first

Jammed starter motor is a possibility or maybe a lazy starter. The cold weather is starting to take hold and this is when the weaknesses come to light! I have just charged up my spare battery just in case!

Hi
First things first. As stated, it may be the battery, so, disconnect it, check the voltage, and THOROUGHLY clean the battery terminals and the clamps. They must be bright and clean. If the battery has a good charge, smear a bit of vaseline around each terminal, and replace the clamps TIGHT....sometimes a loose or dirty terminal will prevent a battery connecting properly. Also, clean the top of the battery, as accumulated dirt can conduct.
Next step is to check the earth connections to the body, at the battery earth strap, and the starter. Clean them up.
If the battery has a good charge , and the terminals are clean, then try again. If no luck, then, as previously stated, try the solenoid and starter motor.
Cheers
Helen
