CV joints?

When steering my Bongo has started making a pretty loud/unpleasant squealing noise!

Pretty sure it's coming from both sides - could this be the CV joints?

Does anyone have experience of replacing these themselves? Or is it a job best left to the mechanics?

Am no mechanic but am willing to give most things a go for the sake of economy....
