Better use of Ash Tray

Hiya, I am proud new owner of a lovely Bongo.

How can I change the ashtray space over the engine for perhaps a two cup holder, are there any solutions or better ideas out there please.

I did have one, but found it a bit unwieldy and you would have to find cups of the right size to fit. Then you've got no where to stick your used sweet wrappers.
