Awning Rail - J rail.

Post by Steve1953 » Thu Sep 19, 2013 7:38 pm

I bought a drive-away awning at the beginning of the season and after a number of trips I wouldn't be without it but..... When it rains I have water dripping down between the vehicle and where the awning attaches to it. I use the pole and clamps method. I would like to use the figure of 8 awning rail along the j rail as a method of attachment (my awning is fitted with option) but I also have a roller awning fitted, which clamps onto the j rail in 2 places. I probably want my cake and eat it, but does anyone have any suggestions to get round this one? Steve [-o<

If you have an AFT, can you clamp the pole to the black brackets that are visible once the roof is lifted? Sorted us for a couple of nights when I didn't have the right clamps to stay on the gutter.
