auto free top stuck half way

Post by anfarrow » Tue Sep 03, 2013 7:48 pm

Hi all,

I have a problem in that my aft is stuck half way up. I was raising it when it went up a way, i tried lowering it but it judders but wont come down.

if I toggle the switch i can see power to the motor as the point on the van side rail moves a cm or so either way, but it won't go any further.

I have tried spraying wd40 in case something is stuck but to no avail.

Help! any ideas :0(

Sounds similar to the problem I had. Have you removed the black covers from the motors and inspected the worm drives? They are at the rear of the roof - one on each side.

More info in this thread posted last week http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/view ... =3&t=63021.

Where do you live? Mine has been fixed by Adrian at Japandirect in Bury. You could call him for advice - excellent and knows his stuff.
