ABS WARNING LIGHT ON!

Post by b.johnston99 » Thu Aug 24, 2006 3:29 pm

Since collecting my unregistered Bongo from the seller I have done everything suggested to get the light to go off. I have even replaced the abs control unit but it stays on. I cant get the car through SVA as it is. My test is booked for the 31st!Can anyone help?

As a quick fix just to get it through the test can you not just remove the bulb from the warning light?

No, a tester worth his salt (and job) will look for that.
Not au fait with the bongo systems but usually the fault lies in a broken sensor wire. Use a multimeter to check for continuity at all the connector plugs going to the wheels - all the sensor is, is an electromagnet which must have continuity.
