Hi folks. Can anyone give any advice on what we should do?...
Our Bongo recently decided not to start. The AA man advised us that there may be air in the system , and said we should use " easy start" to keep us going. We know that " easy start" was just an immediate helper and not the cure, so took our Bongo to a garage who said it was the glow plugs. These were replaced by the garage and a full service done.
The following day he wouldn't start again ...a spray of easy start and he was away...so perhaps the glow plugs had been ok after all???.....we then took it to an electrical expert who said it was something to do with relay to the glowplugs and maybe the ECU thingy. ...some kind of "bypass thing was fitted, and all seems almost as good as new now...he only problem we are having is when stood overnight , and started from cold it starts first time...but after a few seconds peeters out...then starts again first time. It never did this before the problems above, and we are concerned that they're could be more wrong....is this anything to worry about?..do any of you have any advice or have you had the same problem. Our main worry is that at the moment the weather is pretty good , but when its really cold in the winter , are we going to experience worse problems with starting our bongo???......
Any advice would be greatfully received.
thanks
Kate
