I believe this is simply to illuminate the rear heater controls. Should come on with headlights. Cheers, Dave

If ever you find the tail/side/dash fuse popping for no apparent reason? Check the contacts in the bulb holder.. They are flimsy & if a new bulb has been fitted they could crush & short it out..?

I replaced mine with an led but i found the spooky green hue a little too bright in the back. Especially when reversing.. I prefer the interior dark.
So, i rigged the lamp to only come on when i switch on the rear heater from the front...

Likewise, replaced with an LED. The boy (3) loves the 'spooky' glow when it's dark!
