Front Diff Recurring Problem

Owned the Bongo for 3 years now - shortly after I got it, humming noise from the front diff. Repaired by seller. Last summer humming diff again and oil leak. Had it inspected and repaired again. Driving on motorway 6 months ago - major diff oil leak. Advised to replace entire front diff unit and driveshafts. Sourced a replacement diff and had it fitted. 3 months ago again on motorway drive shaft inner seal failed - leaking oil. Had this replaced but now the diff is hummming again. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there something that might be causing these recurring problem that I haven't considered? Been suggested that I replace the unit again but am reluctant to do this if going to happen again. Any advice gratefully received.

Personally I would convert to 2WD.
What size of front and rear tyres does the vehicle have.
PS if you are going for a repair again you need to get the transfer box Viscous coupling checked out

As Rita says, definitely make sure your tyres are the same rolling circumference.
Good luck.

if your wheels and tyres are the correct size etc, do a search on youtube for how to test a viscus coupling. this shows how to hang a weighted bar on a stud to time the drop etc.
on top of the diffs and transfer box there is a breather, they tend to rust up closed. i screw and twist them to free them up. if they cannot breathe they may force oil out of seals or run hot.
