Missing Banjo

Post by Gripped » Fri May 31, 2013 8:27 pm

I thought I would be good and clean my banjo filter. Turns out, I don't have one.

Question is, as there is a main fuel filter, is a banjo actually needed? It's been running fine for the last few years without one.

Answers on a forum postcard please !

Thanks =D>

There is a main fuel filter which is probably overdue for changing, but the mesh filter provides additional filtration including catching any fibres from the main filter element.

Hi,the later models don't have the strainer,if you have an early model you might need to look a bit closer to the aperture,sometimes a bit hard to spot.
