Gas Connector Tails

Post by Velocette » Sat May 11, 2013 1:47 pm

A couple of years ago I bought a quick release gas connector recommended on here and it has been absolutely fine.

I bought another one recently from a different supplier as the original vendor has none on ebay at the moment.

I am struck by the difference in the tails that go into the hose.

The first one just had two barbs at the end, each of a diameter hardly larger than the id of the hose but the new one has a bullet end and two rings, the same as you find on appliances.

The first type is much easier to fit, but is it compliant? Both would be Jubilee clipped.

Any thoughts?
