exhaust question

hello all

so i have the 2.5 td model

with the winter valve switch in the middle

i need a middle box replacing - but have asked my local exhaust centre to fit a stainless pipe from the valve to the rear box - which is a stainless set up there

couple of questions

whats involved to take the pipe further back and removing the valve all together

and if i remove the middle box - does this effect the emisions?

being diesel - i know the rear noise wont increase that much compared to a petrol set up

any answers or thoughts appreciatted
