Fitting Alloys, Help needed

Hi,

Just purchased some secondhand alloys and they need a spacer thing to fit onto the center boss to centre the wheel correctly. Unfortunatly they didn't come with them. What is the diameter of the boss that centres the wheel (hope this makes sense) please? I could fit without, but have read that you shouldn't rely on the wheel bolts to centre as this could lead to wheel balance problems & wooble etc.
Should I definatly get the spacer thing or can I risk fitting without?

Cheers

You can get spigot rings to make the bore (hole) in the middle of the wheel smaller .. but not the other way round.

IE:- the bore of the Bongo is 67.1mm if the bore of your new wheels are larger, then spigot rings(bore reducers) should be available on eBay..

BUT .. if the bore on your new wheels are less than 67.1mm .. you have a problem ..

As I found out when refurbishing 5 Lexus rims .. to find the 60.1mm was to small to fit on the hubs ..

Cheers, just the advise needed. Fortunately the holes in the new wheels are larger. Now that you've given me the spigot size I can get what I need off e bay.
Cheers.
