Electrical problems V6

Post by Powerslide » Mon Mar 25, 2013 1:35 pm

First the 'charge' symbol lit up on the dash. It went out as revs went up. Then came on again. Pop into neutral, blip the throttle and it would go off, for a while. Then the 'ABS' light came on too, and the speedo and rev counter stopped working, and the gear box stopped shifting...........
All this on a 5 minute trip to the shops.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Could be battery or alternator on the way out. Somewhere like Halfords or any fast-fit centre will have a tool for applying a load to the battery & measuring its performance, but don't buy a new battery from them otherwise you will pay more than you need to.
