Nudge bar fitting

Post by bournemouthken » Sun Aug 06, 2006 12:15 pm

Has anyone got any dimentions for the top set of 3 holes to be drilled into the Freda front bumper in order to try and fit a nudge bar, or a close up photo showing the distance between the top edge of the nudge bar and the bottom edge of the grille-fitting one of these things is not as easy as it should be....

Nudge Bar

This is made out of lightweight plastic as opposed to 3" chromed steel, hardly a bull bar, just a nudge bar.

find center of bumper, remove grill, top center fixing is 74mm from top back edge of bumper, either side are 72mm from top rear edge holes are 12mm put masking tape on approximate areas of other fixings ,hang nudge bar on by top three fixings drilled and you should get all the other fixing points without too much trouble

Okay White Van Man - any pointers on removing a nudge bar? I can see a bolt underneath that I have undone, but the bar seems to be glued to the bumper - is this the case?

Any help gratefully received...

ask ken but i think either 7 or8 bolts fixing the bar to the bumper,if you remove you will have to fill/repair all these holes, why do you want to remove?

Was thinking about removing it, selling it and buying bull bars instead (cue heated debate....) but don't think I'll bother now (cue sigh of relief from Dai edwards et al....)
