I've just purchased some DRLs and a switching unit to turn them off when the sidelights turn on. Is easy enough to connect the 2 DRLs to the output of the switching unit and the control wire to the sidelight.
But my question is where is the best place to attach the input that needs to be fed from a source that is Live when the ignition is switched on?
I hope that makes sense
Thanks

Re: Help to wire up DRLs
I've fitted a pair of Ring DRLs and the positive lead goes straight to the battery +ve. The control unit senses the voltage when ignition is on so doesn't need to go to a switched live. May be different with another manufacturer.

The green wire off the lower connector of this fuse is as good as any;

Re: Help to wire up DRLs
Awesome advice guys, all now working. Will take some photos when i get chance.
Tried wiring direct to the battery as weebrian posted but the lights were permanently on. So went as per g8dhe said and used the green wire off the bottom right fuse and it works perfectly.
