Tow bar with double socket

Post by southcoastrob » Wed Feb 06, 2013 9:26 pm

Hi,

I have just got a bongo with a tow bar that has two sockets on the back. One white and one black, can anyone shed any light on why it would have two etc?

Cheers

The black ones for trailer lights and the white ones for caravan electrics ie split charger for fridge etc when on the move

The Black and grey sockets on the tow bar have nothing to do with the Bongo itself .. they are used when towing a trailer / caravan ..

Black matches the normal vehicle lights.. stop /tail .. indicators .. fog light .. generally used for a normal trailer ..

Grey is dedicated to the caravan as it is utilises a split charge system ..ie: while the engine is running, it powers the 12v fridge .. and also charges the caravans leisure battery ..
