size of fuse on willinton kit? could i uses fuse wire?

found ive had a split in my fuse coming off the leisure battery,any ideas what size they are maybe 50a? and could i use fuse wire or does it have to be whats already in there,they dont sell them in halfords

No don't try to fit fuse wire, please :-(
The fuse normally has a rating on it or a colour, but the fuse types have varied over the years he has been doing the kit. Have you a photo or what colour is it ?
Probably best to give him a call on the Ebay details page and ask him, he might slip a couple in the post for you!

its a silver strip fuse<just plain metal...

Why is it that people think that Halfrauds will stock something useful? Halfrauds should be the last place to look. Any motor factors will stock these fuses. Most people should have a motor factors nearer to them than Halfrauds. The only disadvantage is that motor factors aren't open on Sundays.

One by one the indies have closed, while halfords remains open. What can a poor boy do (except go online if he knows what he needs) :-(

I'm not entirely sure what your point is but there are tons of motor factors around, most of them alot more "indie" than Halfrauds and everything is half the price. Most are open saturday mornings so go then :D
