V6 owners - don't forget to change your fuel filters

Changed the fuel filter yesterday which is a bit more tricky than on the diesel as it's buried further up under the chassis:

Anyway, when I drained the fuel out the filter there was a lot of crud that came out. The good news was that it was not metallic, so I can only assume its dust and muck from the petrol itself. The only other thing it could be is from the rubber hoses.

it may be the ethanol in the fuel like you imply simon, stripping out the years of crud, try it again in 6 months and see how it looks then.

Did mine couple year ago, must admit i didn't even look at what came out just chucked in the waste oil drum #-o .
