Are you sure it's a CV and not the drop links?
When CVs start to go you will usually notice it on lock, if it's happening on the straight have a look at the drop links and and roll bar bushes first, it's an easier job than changing CVs.

Drop links are a lot more common (and cheaper) to replace than CV joints. Bear in mind when you're going round a left hand bend, the body will roll to the right and this changes the weight distribution on the suspension such that components that were under pressure are then free to rattle around.
CV joint noise will vary with road speed whereas drop links will change with road conditions.
