Is the first one the engine bay temperature sensor - just around the handbrake should be a connector to the sensor which pushes through the center cowling above the engine. Check that's present and correct.

Have you removed and blocked off your EGR in the past, or is it still present?

Check the wastegate actuator on the turbo moves, maybe drive around with the passy seat up and have someone in the back watching the turbo, or something. You can probably lube the rod with something, but I don't know what.

Can't help much more than these few ideas.

Good Luck!
Matt.

fan switch or wires to it on the side of the block (drivers side) would be my first shot alan.

Thanks Alan. Another useful tip. I wonder if many of our ageing Bongos might benefit from an ECU diagnostic.
