Immobiliser not active after battery change

Post by eppiblue » Sat Sep 22, 2012 12:24 pm

Hi, this week I replaced my starter and now my autowatch immobiliser doesn't seem to be working. I can start the van without the key fob and there is no flashing light. Can anyone advise?

There are several types, but a quick Google comes up with plenty of reports of various problems probably best to call the company direct as this thread suggests http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/showthread.php?t=75471 he had a good outcome it seems.

sounds like maybe you've blown the fuse supplying the immobliliser and its relays have defaulted to disarmed position, which itself is quite odd as Autowatch are not only Thatcahm/VSIB approved, amongst installing community they're reputed to be the best systems in the world? and although a lot of early and non rated systems are vulnerable to this type of attack, most modern ones arent, how old is the immobiliser?
