Hi all, brought my Bongo home safe and sound from Bristol yesterday, and I've spent today pulling all the seats out and giving it a good go over with the valet machine. I also fitted a dvd/tv unit in the dash. Works well and an absolute bargin at 199 quid brand new from Ebay.
My questions are:
A light has appeared under the rev counter it orange with a coil like symbol on it and its flashing. This wasn't on untill I fitted the stereo this morning, I've checked the wiring and it all looks good. Can anyone tell me what this light means and is it something I may have done when fitting the stereo?
Also despite my best efforts the carpet around the engine and under the front seats is marked in a few places. is it possible to get replacements?
Last but not least theres a quarter of an inch rip on one of the waterproof panels of the free top. Its not a massive concern, but is it possible to buy repair kits or any other suggestions?
I'm very happy with the buy, she runs like a dream and for a 10 year old car she's in excellent condition. I'm looking forward to our 1st weekend away in her, if you see us dont forget to wave!
My 1st full day as a bongo owner and I have a few questions

I can only take a stab at the flashing orange light question, I'm afraid. That's the glowplug light. It should come on constantly on turning the ignition on until the glowplugs have warmed up and then should go off. You should then start the engine.
Mine flashed when I'd blown two fuses - number 1 and 8 I think in the the fuse panel lower right in the drivers compartment. One's the stereo and one's the interior. Try checking those two fuses. If you find one or both blown replacements can be had from Halfords. See if that works. Hope that helps. I did panic inititally when I saw that flashing light - I thought it was something serious.
If you haven't got an electrical tester - do your electric mirrors / interior lights / warning beeper still work? I assume your stereo does as you've just fitted it?

Thanks Billy, found some stuff using the search facility on the glowplug light and blown fuses. I just wasn't sure if that was the same light flashing on mine. Just noticed my central locking is not working now either so I'm sure its a blown fuse or two!!! I'll take a look at my fuse box and hastely wired stereo in the morning.
Have to laugh my mrs is sat out on the drive in it now with the little un watching The Incredibles with a glass of wine! My mrs has the wine not the little un.
