External almost done

Post by Hanksy » Thu Sep 06, 2012 12:43 pm

Hi all

Ive been asking a few questions lately as I'm new to all this bongo lark so i would just like to say thanks to all that have answered me in my previous posts

.....so i think its about time I posted a pic of my new freda

got my Freda about 2 months ago and been pimping it a bit, (i cant stop its driving the missis nuts) all i want to do now is add some side rails but im not allowed yet :?

the internals have dual / independent DVD headrest players that's all i have done so far so my next pic uploads will be the internal mods (im only going to put high shelves in turn the top around and maybe put a low level storage unit thingy in the back ) depending on how carried away i get

Any way the first pic is how i got it the rest is well as you can see been tinted, bigger wheels, lowered and the decal put on yesterday 8) 8)

Was the tint applied by a local garage or is it a specialist job?

Im awaiting the arrival of my vehicle but intend getting a conversion done , is it best to do this type of work before or after a conversion ie can tint still be applied post conversion or are areas of the window covered up?

I had it done by these http://www.autoasylum.co.uk/ they have been doing it in Swindon for years it was £220 and they remove the windows. I would get them tinted first it takes 1/2 day

I got a quote from them for exactly the same :D Was in two minds, i know a few people who have used them and said they do a grand job. Might have to go for it now :D Maybe my overtime this weekend can pay for it ;)

Is that the darkest you could have?

Ha i was thinking the same thing about side bars but with 40mm handrail from this guy on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400318393136? ... 1423.l2648

he does pointy end caps too for the front    just dont know ifthe chrome will rust ....Anyway im not allowed to spend any more money ......yet!!

@ stefan442, the darkest is limo (as on my rear  ) I was in two minds about limo tint on the sides. i will be using it to get changed in at the lake / beach then i remembered we have blinds in a bongo   so i went for one shade lighter which was a good choice the back window doesn't let much light in and is very dark when driving at night or when wearing sunglasses but with one shade lighter it still looks cool and gives much more light for the kids.

if you want to come over and have a look PM me
