Drivers Door Loom

Post by David Edwards » Thu Aug 09, 2012 11:16 am

I know it has been on here before but I cannot find it, I have a new loom to replace the one that goes from the panel into the drivers door for the window electrics etc, does anyone have a fact sheet or instructions on the door card removal etc, much appreciated.

Door card comes off quite easily a few screws and the rest are pop studs. There may be a sheet of plastic film stuck on with black goo but mine had been off before so there was just black goo. The oval grommets either side of the door shut ease out and it is best to remove the small footwell trim and push the connectors outside the wing where you can see them.

Take a photograph of the old harness in position, it will be easier to identify all the mounting points for the new harness. A good idea to spray the inside bottom of the door with Waxoyl or ACF50 while you have access.
