High level brake light

Post by Coradia63 » Wed Jun 27, 2012 7:19 pm

Hi All,

I've just spent half the day rewiring the loom between the tailgate and the vehicle body as most of the wires had either broken or had the insulation damaged, everything now working wiper, lights, demister except the high level LED brake light spent ages rechecking the wiring used the online wiring manual all seemed ok decided to trace the wire from the light back I got as far as a 3 wire plug connector behind the drivers side rear side panel which was connected but the wire which is the 12V+ for the LED brake light (green with a yellow stripe) didnt have a wire going into it the other two wires were connected through the plug it dosent look like the wire has pullled out or removed as the loom tape is still in original condition it seems a bit strange the wire runs from the light so far down the vehicle then isnt connected? I've tried a temporary wire from the rear low level brake lights and the high level light works fine I thought the high level brake light was standard?

Any one else come across this?

Cheers
