Bongo Wheel trims

Post by rhenry » Wed Jun 27, 2012 6:07 pm

Hi there

new to bongos and am looking to tart up the wheels, can't afford alloys at present but fancied some alloy look trims. Are they just standard sizes on them ? Can I just buy from ebay or Halfords, are they 15" or 16 " ? Any ideas welcome.

thanks

Wheel trims from e bay or halfords should be fine. If you look at your tyres ther should be the size on them ie 185/45/15 the last figure being the size trim you require.

Hi, They are 15's but choose wisely.. I find the Halfords range a little bland... Have a look see what you can find on the net..?

There are some nice ones out there at a reasonable price...

Great thanks Both, I have 15's so will look on net, as you say they are pretty dull in Halfords, like the look of yours !

Thanks Rhenry,

I lost the original trim in a flood 5 years ago & thought about total replacements...
I went down the route of trims at the time with the criteria of must be black, must cover as much of the steel rims as possible, & if fake nuts are part of the design? must have 5 of them...

I cant really justify alloys.. My van is a bit of a workhorse...

I will be buying some soon as I lost one on the way down to France. I'm planning on some matte black ones. They look OK in the pic..... :)

I'm also in the market for some new trims - have trawled ebay & Amazon. Does anyone have anywhere else to recommend?

Many thanks.

Good choice.. 8)

The ring clips will need to be fitted to the trims... They come with the trims in the box or package normally loose..? from memory fit the ring clips (can't miss em, 15 inch wire circle.) to the outer part of the clips on the trim... You will know what i mean.

Am about to press the button and order some myself. I couldn't decide so decided to order 2 sets & choose when they get here. Then return the ones I don't want - oh the pleasures of the internet.
