Window and mirror electrics

Post by kingbillybongo » Wed Jun 20, 2012 7:52 pm

When drivers door is shut all working fine, but when drivers door is open, only passengers side mirror works from drivers side.i know about the wiring loom problem from door to wing, but would it be more than one wire broken or is there another common fault,I.e.where do I look first and what to do about it?
Many thanks cam.

Loom for sure, probably not where it goes through the grommets but at the bottom of the "U" as it's distorted onto the cable clamp on the edge of the door

You'll have to cut the outer sheath away and hopefully the problem will then be self-evident.

What he said. =D>

I had a problem with the passenger window not working from the passenger door switch, but fine from the driver's. There was a break at the bottom of the U on the passenger door loom.
